Bridging Quality Management Across 27 Countries

As Head of Defense Quality Assurance for Field Force AC327 and Chair of NATO Working Group 2, David Greenwood spoke to the IAQG General Assembly regarding the challenges of developing quality management, quality assurance, and government quality assurance requirements spanning 27 nations. NATO’s product export breakdown includes Aerospace (63%), Land (23%), and Sea (14%). David stated NATO was pleased with the current release of 9100 which focuses on process, risk and criticality, counterfeit parts, and supply chain. A future workload for NATO includes AQAP 2210 on Software, Distribution standard, Certificate of Conformity, and recognition of 9110 certification. The IAQG continues to work closely with NATO to obtain a better understanding of each other’s requirements.
