AIMM Incorporates User Feedback With Latest Version Release

AIMM, IAQG

AIMM (Aerospace Improvement Maturity Model) was launched in August 2021 to help organizations move beyond compliance to the 9100 standard and improve their Quality Management System (QMS) maturity. Organizations could now use this valuable tool to evaluate their current level of maturity and set clear targets for improvement. In just over two years, AIMM has amassed over 3000 registered users who have provided a wealth of feedback that the development team has used to improve the tool, resulting in the release of AIMM 1.1. The main updates users will see in AIMM 1.1 are:

  • Integration with the IAQG SCMH. AIMM 1.1 contains 110+ references to SCMH topics embedded within the AIMM criteria. These references will soon become actual hyperlinks.
  • Incorporation of references to the ISO 10000 series and more IAQG standards.
  • Many more examples and guidance, especially from ISO TS 9002.

AIMM 1.1 contains 45 new criteria. Additionally, approximately 30 percent of the existing AIMM 1.0 criteria have been revised based on feedback. When creating a new assessment, the users can choose the version they prefer, either AIMM 1.0 or AIMM 1.1.

The aerospace community is invited to add AIMM to their toolbox for improvement and provide feedback to make it more able to meet their needs.
